BusinessBuilder is operated by Business Model Clarity (ABN 86 793 571 586). This policy explains what happens if a purchase goes wrong or if you change your mind. It is in two parts:
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services are backed by guarantees that cannot be excluded. If this policy and the law differ, the law applies.
Part A — The Founder’s Trap (ebook)
What your purchase includes
The ebook costs A$29 (including GST). You will receive the PDF via the link in your order confirmation email. The ePub, the audiobook and the Coolgardie companion case study are linked from your order confirmation page and in that email.
Change of mind
Because digital files can’t be returned once supplied, we don’t offer change-of-mind refunds after the download links are sent. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Download or file problems
If a link doesn’t work, a file won’t open, or a file is faulty, email us, and we’ll restore your access or send corrected files at no cost.
Your consumer rights
If the ebook has a major problem we can’t fix (for example, it is substantially different from its description), you can choose a refund or a replacement. For minor problems, we’ll fix them within a reasonable time.
Duplicate purchases
If you accidentally buy the ebook twice, tell us, and we’ll refund the duplicate.
Part B — Snapshot Review
What you’re buying
The Snapshot Review costs A$249 (including GST and The Founder’s Trap ebook), or A$220 for existing book owners (see the book-owner rules below). We take a limited number of Snapshot Reviews each week; when a week is fully booked, the website says so. After payment you receive the Intake Form link, and we deliver your Snapshot Review within two business days of receiving your completed Intake Form. If we’re ever unusually busy after you’ve paid, we’ll tell you straight away and you can choose a full refund of the review portion.
Cancelling before you submit your Intake Form
If you cancel before submitting your Intake Form, we’ll refund the review portion of your payment:
- A$249 purchase: A$220 refunded. You keep the ebook, which has already been supplied (A$29).
- A$220 book-owner purchase: A$220 refunded in full, and your book-owner price is restored for the rest of its 90-day period.
Once work has started
Once you have submitted your Intake Form, we begin preparing your Snapshot Review, so we don’t offer change-of-mind refunds from that point. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you don’t submit your Intake Form
There’s no deadline for your Intake Form, but if we haven’t received it within 60 days of your purchase, and we’ve sent you a reminder, the order lapses and the review is not refunded.
If we can’t deliver
If we need to cancel or can’t deliver your Snapshot Review, you can choose a full refund of the review portion or a later delivery date that suits you.
Problems with your Snapshot Review
Under the Australian Consumer Law, our services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose we’ve described, and be delivered within a reasonable time. If your Snapshot Review contains a factual error in the information you provided, we’ll correct it at no cost. If there is a major failure we can’t fix, you’re entitled to a refund of the review portion.
The Snapshot Review is a structured diagnosis to inform your decisions. It isn’t financial, legal or accounting advice, and we can’t guarantee any particular business outcome. Disagreeing with a conclusion isn’t, on its own, a fault in the service.
Book owners’ Snapshot Review price (A$220)
If you bought The Founder’s Trap on its own, you can book a Snapshot Review for A$220 instead of A$249 (which already includes the book). The rules:
- Use the book-owner code from your book purchase email at checkout, within 90 days of buying the book.
- It’s subject to the same weekly availability as the standard Snapshot Review.
- It can be used once, by the original purchaser, using the same email address as the book order.
- It is not cash and can’t be combined with other offers. It lapses after 90 days.
- Buying the book never obliges you to buy a Snapshot Review.
- If your book is refunded before you use the book-owner price, the price no longer applies. Using the book-owner price won’t reduce any refund you’re entitled to for the book under the Australian Consumer Law.
- If a book-owner Snapshot Review is refunded in full, your access is restored for the rest of the 90-day period. If we cancel your Snapshot Review, the 90-day period is extended accordingly.
- The 90-day period is not a deadline for raising a problem with the book.
How to ask for help or a refund
Contact us with the email address you used to place the order and your order number, and tell us what happened. We aim to reply within two business days. Approved refunds are paid to your original payment method. We don’t charge an admin fee for refunds.
